A small park up in the mountains

Last year, the concerted efforts of an enthusiastic group of people who love Divri as much as we do, brought into fruition the development of a small but beautiful park at one of the highest peaks of Divri’s mountains. The site is incredibly picturesque and oversees Divri in all its glory. It boasts a small open amphitheatre, swings, tables and benches. Its name? “Upper Gavrovikos – Lozissos Theatre”.
People quickly embraced this place and last summer, the restless Cultural Centre of Divri (led by Dr Sotiropoulos) organised a successful series of classical music concerts under the moonlight .
When visiting Divri, we certainly recommend walking up the hill to enjoy the views and serenity from up above. It’s also great to have a picnic!
August 2016 – Gavrovikos Fountain

On 20-21 August 2016, the inauguration of the Gavrovikos Fountain took place in Divri – Lampeia.
A huge thank you to all Divriotes from all over the world who helped with the funding!

August 2016 – Events in Divri
The Cultural Centre of Divri is organising a Weekend of History, Culture and Entertainment in Divri (Lampeia) on the 20th and 21st of August 2016.
The weekend will include a presentation and speech on local history, music and singing of Greek and Italian canzonettas, traditional food offering and prize lottery.
Also, mydivri.gr is very excited to learn and thereby announce that the inauguration of the Upper Gavrovikos Fountain is scheduled to take place on Sunday, the 21st of August. After more than two years in the making, this long-awaited project has been completed almost entirely. There are still a few things missing around the fountain, which are subject to additional funds and further support from all of us, however, this inauguration marks the return of a beautiful fountain (previously damaged for several decades) that will adorn Divri’s mountains thereafter.
